Meanwhile, here are some important facts about ground source (geothermal) heat pumps in New England.
- A properly installed geothermal system will give you the least expensive method for heating, cooling and air conditioning your home. You’ll see savings of 50 to70% in operating and maintenance costs over even the most efficient fossil-based heating and hot water and traditional air conditioning systems.
- There is no limitation nor any need for “second stage” backup systems for geothermal in your New England home. Properly designed systems will provide for 100% of your heating, hot water and cooling needs.
- Not all installs are created equal! Poorly designed and/or implemented geothermal energy systems will not provide published efficiencies nor save you the $$$ you should expect from a properly done system. Choosing an experienced geothermal HVAC team is extremely important. We’re here to help.
