Mr. Roos has been designing geothermal heat pump systems with Carl Orio since joining Water Energy Distributors, Inc. in 2007.  He leads and manages the Engineerging Department of Water Energy Distributors.  He has designed dozens of geothermal open- and closed-loop systems throughout New England and NYC, including small commercial, large residential, municipal, multi-unit housing and large urban buildings.

He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of OH, a Certified Geothermal Designer, and an International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) member and Accredited Installer.  He is a full member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and is a Corresponding Member to ASHRAE technical committee 6.8 – Geothermal Energy Utilization.  Mr. Roos was co-author of ‘Urban Geothermal’ presentation at the 2008 IGSHPA technical conference, and ‘Geothermal: Tapping Into the Earth’s Energy’ presentation at the 2008 NHSEA Home Energy Conference.

He is married and has two children, residing in Brentwood, New Hampshire.
